Orfeo Fabbri - Solo Opening Reception May 4

Please join us for the opening reception of Orfeo Fabbri May 4th at the Franklin Art Center from 6-9pm. 
Orfeo is an award winning artist living and working on Cape Cod while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design His work has been described as having a ”…very strong, saturated color and powerful compositions, sometimes including mixed media. His techniques include extensive use of the palette knife, thus his surfaces have the strength of an impasto surface” See Orfer's work >>

Art Night "Uncorked"

Adults night out.
No need to drive to Boston. Come paint with your friends at Franklin Art Center and uncork your creativity. 

May 10 6:30-8:30—Georgia O’keeffe Poppies

$35 per session. Space is limited register early!

Summer Art Classes Now Enrolling

July 8- August 8
Two times available, Monday-Thursday 9:30-12:00 and 1:00-3:30
Classes are $225. Includes all supplies and a snack.
All Summer classes will run on a weekly basis, Mon.- Thurs. from 9:30am-12:00 and 1:00-3:30. Art clothes are suggested as we will be busy creating. Art smocks and supplies will be provided by Franklin Art Center. You may bring your own peanut-free snack and drink. On Thursdays, come a ½ hour early to view all our creativity from the week. All art classes start and end promptly. Please plan accordingly. Register now as class size is limited.

Pre School Summer Art Classes
Registration is for either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or the Tuesday and Thursday group for ages 4-6. Students may register for the full week.

CALL FOR ARTIST for new Sculpture Park

Local artist work needed.

Franklin Sculpture Park is now accepting applications for 2013 sculpture submission. Located right of of 495, close to schools, business and downtown this is wonderful opportunity for all artists. Franklin offers a place where artists see, create, and exhibit three-dimensional artwork all in one location.

The park is free and open to the public and offers a unique environment for the public to interact with the artists at work. Franklin Art Center supports emerging artists and upholds the work of career artists, with artist programs that support all ages and skill levels. There is currently limited space available at the park but slots are filling up quickly. We are also posting pictures of the progress.

We offer individualized fine art instruction to students ages 4 - Adult. With the passing of the Goals 2000: Educate America Act, the arts were written into Federal law as a core academic subject in K–12 public schools. Franklin Art Center is focused on enhancing our students skills to an advanced level.
